Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 · Last Updated: November 2, 2026
1. Commitment to Accessibility
I am committed to ensuring digital accessibility for visitors with disabilities. I continually strive to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility principles guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 / 2.2 Level AA.
Note: This statement describes the actual features implemented and my ongoing remediation process; it does not claim formal third-party certification.
2. Implemented Accessibility Features
A. Respect for Reduced Motion Preferences
The website monitors the CSS prefers-reduced-motion: reduce media query. When enabled in your operating system or browser, high-frequency animations, continuous scrubbing sequences, and 3D card tilt behaviors are gracefully disabled or replaced with static visuals.
B. Semantic HTML & ARIA Landmarks
The website is structured using semantic HTML5 elements (<header>,<nav>, <main>, <section>,<article>, and <footer>) along with appropriate ARIA labels and roles for screen reader navigation.
C. Keyboard Navigation & Focus Indicators
All interactive elements—including navigation links, modal triggers, and buttons—are operable via keyboard alone (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, Escape to dismiss menus). Focus states remain distinctly visible.
D. Color Contrast & Typography Hierarchy
Foreground typography maintains high contrast against the deep dark background, exceeding the standard 4.5:1 ratio for normal body text. Fonts are modern and legible, supporting native browser zooming up to 200% without loss of content.
3. Known Limitations & Ongoing Enhancements
While the portfolio provides accessible alternatives, the core visual centerpiece is an intensive photographic portrait animation scrubbing 299 Canvas frames on scroll. Visitors with older assistive technologies may prefer keyboard scrolling or enabling reduced-motion mode in their operating system for a streamlined, static reading experience.
4. Feedback & Reporting Barriers
I welcome feedback on the accessibility of this portfolio. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need assistance with any part of this site, please email me:
